Our Story

Proud creator and producer of Winston's Den, Dave Bywater is passionate about stewarding the next generation of storytellers.  With over twenty years in the elementary classroom, Mr. Bywater has helped develop and inspire hundreds of young writers.  An accomplished singer and entertainer, Mr. Bywater has composed and produced dozens of songs for young audiences, including Campfire Roundup and Bullfrog Blues.

Recent achievements have included authoring and producing audiobooks for young readers including  Rainy Day in Whistle Woods and Chelsea's Gifts.

"I am passionate about developing young audiences into responsible producers, rather than simply passive consumers, of creative content. This mission is at the heart of Young Writers Studio New Jersey and Winston's Den."

Mr. Bywater earned his Master of Science degree in Education from 

Queens College and teaches in Princeton, NJ.
